Halloween:

And since Tom brought up Christmas........After recent research, I was shocked to learn the Pagan origin of Christmas and all the symbols used at Christmas. I have had to re-think EVERYTHING I have ever been taught and do a lot of soul searching through prayer. It is so amazing how satan has used so many things to decieve us....no doubt, he is the master deciever. Here are a couple of links well worth looking at:

I was also shocked to find out about Easter:

I find myself surprised that many people don't know that so many of the traditions related to our holidays, even the most sacred ones like Easter and Christmas, were connected to pagan ones in one way or another. Sometimes, it was a way for early Christians to hide their celebrations in the very midst of the raucous festivites of their pagan neighbors. They looked like they were celebrating the same day as everybody else.
I guess I shouldn't be so surprised, because I know this kind of thing is never discussed in most churches, or in schools, and unless you look into it on your own, you may never hear about it.
