Halloween:

And since Tom brought up Christmas........After recent research, I was shocked to learn the Pagan origin of Christmas and all the symbols used at Christmas. I have had to re-think EVERYTHING I have ever been taught and do a lot of soul searching through prayer. It is so amazing how satan has used so many things to decieve us....no doubt, he is the master deciever. Here are a couple of links well worth looking at:

I was also shocked to find out about Easter:
http://www.exposingsatanism.org/easter.htm

I find myself surprised that many people don't know that so many of the traditions related to our holidays, even the most sacred ones like Easter and Christmas, were connected to pagan ones in one way or another. Sometimes, it was a way for early Christians to hide their celebrations in the very midst of the raucous festivites of their pagan neighbors. They looked like they were celebrating the same day as everybody else.

I guess I shouldn't be so surprised, because I know this kind of thing is never discussed in most churches, or in schools, and unless you look into it on your own, you may never hear about it.

Kids getting dressed up to get candy is not worshipping Satan. Some people love to find the negative in everything.

1Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

God doesn't care what your excuse is.

If that is the case then I shouldn't leave the house. Most people I run into are not Christians and most of them are evil.

Read Jeremiah 10:1-5 and see what those verses sounds like it is describing to you Waiting2go.

God has his Feast Days, and Satan has his. Unfortunately, man prefers to keep Satan's.

very sad...JESUS weeps...:sob

If that is the case then I shouldn't leave the house. Most people I run into are not Christians and most of them are evil. There is a difference between being exposed to something and participating in something. Kinda like what OJ is going through right now, was he a participant or simple a passer by? Whatever the case I'm sure he'll get another sweet book deal :doh
But yes, there is a big difference.

Yes, that would make leaving your house out of the question.

You would end up staying in your basement, reading your Bible 24 hours a day.

(why does that not sound so bad to me) ?:lol2

Lets hope its soon folks.:thumb

I bought my daughter's Halloween costume yesterday...

If you don't want to take your kids trick or treating, that's your prerogative. But don't blast your brothers and sisters who don't feel the same way. I've had zero convictions about this. It's just a fun evening for our family - that's all.

We have to realize that not everyone is at the same level of conviction or knowlede. God has definitely showed me that I am not allowed to celebrate ANY pagan holiday. I know if I do, then I would be deliberately disobeying HIM. I choose to be obedient.

So would you go to the church of Satan if they were passing out free candy? How far does the free candy thing go? How much are you willing to give up for some free candy?

Oh, and BTW, Christmas and Easter ARE Pagan holidays.
