I love decorating for Christmas! It is such a magical time of the year and such a great reminder of what it is all about, I think that it is all in perspective... if you believe in Christ Jesus and that he dies for our sins and rose again, then anything to do with Christmas is a great reminder of that!! (for me at least!)
I actually still have my tree up because it have been a crazy beginning of the year :lol2... my Mom said I should decorate it for Easter LOL!

I also have heard other common things we do come from pagan backgrounds... maybe it was from this thread, not sure. One example is wedding rings, I'm sure there are others.

I allow my children to believe in the Easter bunny and Santa Clause but they also know the true meaning of each holiday.

That is a way of which I, for one, approve. It's the way I would celebrate with my own kids if I had any.

I cant pm yet!:faint I ordered a book from another Ministry and wrote a paper concerning some of these things but I had to obtain permission from the ministry to use their material and dont know for sure if I can post it here. What I discovered though was that the trees had to do with the pagan celebration of the winter solstice around December 25, it was reguarded as the birthday of the sun and adopted by the Roman Empire and passed down to the Western world. In a nutshell.

I was mostly just interested in the name of the ministry. But I'll wait until you can PM, I think it's five more posts for you. :kickcan :hehee
