:gaah
Why is it that even after I have asked my family members to NOT call me in the mornings that every morning at least one, if not more of them, call me!?!
Would they think it's ok to disrupt a teacher in PS to ask her stuff that could wait until after work?!
Do they not realise how disruptive this is?! :rant
I have tried to just let the phone ring and let the answering machine get it but this still distracts the kids and I am at least 5 minutes getting them back on track again. I am soooooo tempted to turn off the ringer, but you know as soon as I do that I will get an emergency phone call. :hairout
You know what? I am going to do it anyways! If it's that big of an emergency they can call my cell. :huff
oooooooooh! MAN! This has put me in a bad mood today! :rant

I know what you mean..
I had a salesperson call and when I told them I was busy, they got all snarky. So I said.."Look I homeschool and I don't have time" I got a "yeah..OK" Like I was lying....ugh

I turned my phone ringer off, and told my hubby if he needed me to call my cell. I figured if it was an emergency then he could/would call my cell. I would only answer calls from him! That worked. I still had a friend who would call every morning and say. "What'cha doing". She always said this is an emergency, then when I would call her back she would tell me stuff like my dog barked do you think he is unhappy. That's why I started it to.

I knew a girl that would do that..LOL Except she would ask what I was doing and when I said "homeschooling" she would say "oh" and then continue on with WHATEVER reason she called, like to tell me about a movie she saw or "just to talk" so I don't answer..... Unless it is hubby or my mom.. she understands and well, I just like talking to hubby.

sounds like they are lonely.
Not my family. They have hectic lives that they are trying to rope me into. :tsk:panic
My MIL called me this morning to ask me if I can come and wash her windows on Thursday or Friday for a party that she is throwing on Saturday. :rolleyes She loves to have parties at her house and has several a year. Whenever she has one she ropes in anyone that she can to help get ready. I'm sorry, but I would never expect someone to come and clean my house so that I could have a party. I told her we were too busy with school to come wash windows.
What really bugs me is my family all knows that I have bent over backwards the last few years to empty our schedule so that we can concentrate on school and just being a family. Also dh and I feel strongly that we don't want our kids to have a stressed childhood filled with too many activities. Yet, they still try to get us to do this, and go there, and help with this..... :panic
No thanks.
