I was just wondering about something.:thinking My mother takes her wedding rings off whenever she is cooking something really messy because she doesn't like to clean them.

I never take mine off because it makes me feel like I've done something wrong. I always wash my hands as soon as I am done mixing things and I don't have to really clean my rings. If their shing is dull I brush em with toothpast (home remedy that works) while they are still on. If something is stuck in them I pick it out with little tool while they are still on.

What do you all do and why?

if i'm squishing meatloaf, or rolling dough, yes....

once my hubby played a joke on me and took my rings from their usual spot while i was putting food in the oven, i washed my hands and immediately went to put my rings back on and he saw my face and fessed up fast :D

I don't take my rings off ( I use the toothpaste trick too) I just have this fear that they will go down the drain. If I have to mix ground beef or something messy, I usually use my stand mixer and paddle attachment.

My dh hasn't played a trick on me with my rings, as he knows I would freak. Although I have to buy him a new one for Christmas his fell off last week-end in the house and we can't find it.

hubby lost his first one somewhere in the house literally, we think its mixed in the concrete where he had to repair a split that formed near the basement windows

My diamond fell out once and I found it on the kitchen table, so I am always taking it off and putting it in a safe place when I do alot of cooking and cleaning the house. I also get it cleaned and checked every 6 months.
