I'm a mother to a wonderful 2-year-old, and all these events popping up that seem to be bringing the rapture closer are giving me a heavy heart. Does anyone have anything that might calm my nerves about my daughter being raptured as well? I've talked to her about Jesus, but she's so young she's more interested in what she's holding. I know the Bible isn't specific, but I would like to get at least one night of peaceful sleep. :faint

I bet you love your child so much that you can no longer imagine life without her. Guess what. God loves that little girl even more than you do. How do I know that? Because He sent His only begotten Son to die on a cross for her sins. He is not willing that any should perish. If the rapture occurred today and little children and babies too young to even have the first clue about how to take care of themselves and no wherewithall with which to do so, what would happen to all those kids whose parents were raptured? Almost every single one of them would die. And, if God didn't have the mercy to rapture them with the rest of us, what reason would we have for believing that they would not perish in hell? So, a baby is born and a day later, on the way home from the hospital, the rapture rakes place. Both parents, including Daddy who's driving, are raptured, but not the baby. There is an ensuing crash and baby dies and must now spend eternity in hell. I find it real hard to believe that our omniscient, omnipresent, holy God of grace, mercy and love would allow that to happen. Remember, He is so unwilling that any should perish that He sent His only begotten Son to die in our place and pay for our sins. He knows all about your little girl and He knows when the rapture will happen. If it happens today, He knows that your little girl can't possibly take care of herself and she's never really had an opportunity to know and understand that she is a sinner and needs Jesus to save her. I think God must have made some kind of provision for children too young to be able to know that they need Jesus.

Thank you jadeeyes. That helped me quite a bit. I rationalize that in my head all the time, but perhaps it is Satan that puts in the doubt.

But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matt 19:14

David's baby that passed away was in the arms of Jesus:

And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me 2 Sam.12:22-23

No worry, the Savior, Sheperd and Father, our blessed Jesus has all of us in the palm of his hand. Those who are too young to understand the gospel are and will be with the Lord. (see above) :hug:hug

My understanding, children who are at the age of innocence will be rapture too.

Yep! Don't worry, you're little is safe. But keep teaching her about Jesus, just because the sooner she learns to love and trust Him the sooner she will have a personal relationship with Him.

These precious posts would encourage the heart of any mother whose first earthly concern is her children. I think that you would be encouraged further by reading, "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" by Dr. John Mac Arthur. The book is basically about children who have died, but it will show you more clearly the nature of God's great love for these little ones. The principle of this love indicates that He would never allow a child to 'lose' his/her parents in the rapture with no one to provide for their care. You have no reason to worry my dear. :hug You sound like a very loving, caring mom, and your little daughter is blessed. :wave

P.S. I'm the mother of two grown sons and three grandchildren. I've learned to trust God's loving watch care over all of them.
