View Full Version : Locked out at work

I was reluctant to dump my cookies at work in order to get my new password in because I didn't want to lose the rest of my cookies...so I was just logging in every time I came to RR.
Well, I think I did that too many times close together and that RR is somehow now banning my work DNS because now whenever I got to www.rr-bb.com at work, it gives me a 403 Error, and says that I'm not permitted on that site.
How do we fix this?

Maybe its your sys admin banning YOU from RR.

Nope...we get a different kind of screen that comes up on the sites which are blocked at work.

I know the feeling, Old. :nod I've been getting that for over a week (we have a different 'blocked' message too), and no one on this side knew what was wrong. I even went through my cookie folder and found the specific cookie for RR and deleted it. Didn't help with that problem.
Then Big Daddy posted another suggestion to try. I wasn't able to do it until this past Tuesday. I did it, but it didn't seem to help. I went into work yesterday and I could get in! :faint So either it worked and I needed to reboot my computer (or give it more time to work) or they did something to our server at work. :lol2 Anyway, try this and see if it helps: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/233/clear_windows_dns_cache
I just hope I can still get in today. :pray

Yep
Flushing the cache might work

I don't know...In the last few days I've also received a new desktop computer (due to some software/network issues with the last one). My problem has not been solved with the new computer...

It can't hurt to try. :lol2 You won't lose anything.
