What is your opinion or is there any scriptural reference to this in the bible that we are supposed to follow in matters of cutting hair and being a woman.
My little girl would like her bangs cut and maybe her hair cut to her shoulders as her hair is now really long.
My husband says, "Don't it say it's a sin in the bible for a woman to cut her hair as the hair is her crown of glory?"
I have no clue. Need help here with this one as I don't really see anything wrong with a small hair cut, I mean we're only talking about bangs and going shoulder length instead of real long.
Any advice?
Thanks,

I keep my hair a tad below shoulder length. I don't believe that we are to never trim our hair or even not have bangs. I believe it all depends on what is easy for you to keep up with. That being said, I don't like extremely short hairstyles on women. But that is my personal preference.
My son has long hair...LOL...

I like long hair. I think it is very femine. I dislike short hairstyles for women because I think it makes them look less femine and more masculine.
Sounds like your husband wants your daughters hair long. My husband is the same way with our daughter. I just keep it long. She can cut it when she gets out on her own.
How old is your daughter? My daughter went through that shoulder thing when she was 5 and then wanted it long again. :idunno

I have had my hair long and short, I don't think I would consider it sinning. God looks at our hearts. At least that is what I have always been told.

Is he talking about these verses?
1Cr 11:13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
1Cr 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
1Cr 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for [her] hair is given her for a covering.
1Cr 11:16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
I'd really like to keep my hair kind of short since it has gotten really thin. It looks horrible and stringy now if it gets long. I can't see how much glory that would be. It was down to my waist before the illness that made me lose so much of it, though.

One of our girls have past shoulder length hair the other would have it cut up to ears if I let her. It's slightly above her shoulders. In her defense she has REALLY thick hair, enough for 3 heads. She gets hot in the summer. I tried to put it in pony tails but she has soooo much I haven't found anything to hold it tightly, I'm lucky to get it around twice.
My husband and I both like long hair, when they were young we only trimmed it.

I don't think it is a sin to cut your hair or your daughters. Seems a little legalistic to me.

I agree with Yellowbo, but then again do what you feel convicted to do.

Long hair is beautiful but it is a lot of work. My daughter's hair was past her bottom because she never had it cut in all her 5 years. When she turned 6, I took her to the hair salon and had them cut it to shoulder length. The lady at the salon could not believe I wanted to have it cut. It was long beautiful cascading curls.
When they saw it at our church they gave me the "how dare you" treatment. Of course, they didn't have to argue with her every morning while I was getting her hair brushed nor did they hear her screams and fits she threw. Sooooo, I left that church...too legalistic for me. Somehow I find it hard to believe that God, merciful and loving that He is, would consider a woman cutting her hair a sin. To me that just doesn't sound right.
