Seventh Day Adventist (SDA)

Greetings Fellow Believers in Jesus Name,

I came here today to seek your wise counsel in regards to a situation that hit me like a bombshell yesterday.

A friend of mine who happens to play guitar for our worship team at church approached me out of the blue after church and said he was leaving our church to join a SDA church! (I attend an Assembly of God church FYI.)

I was so taken back that I didn't know what to say to him except that I would keep him in my prayers.

I would appreciate your thoughts and comments to what (if anything) I should do. :scratch

I have since went on line and began studying the doctrine of the SDA and I'm speechless to why he would make this radical leap backwards...IMHO.

FYI, The SDA believe there is no eternal punishment (Hell), you must follow the Law (Sabbath day exactly), No Rapture, Soul Sleep, etc...I think you get the picture.

Is he open to you presenting to him the many flaws in their doctrine?

www.carm.org is a great website to learn about Seventh Day Adventism....I go there when I need to learn about all cults and false religions. It's great. I heard about it on KTIS here in the Twin Cities.

I live in Minnesota, and I get that station too. I don't listen to it very often though.

I've been watching 3ABN for a while now...couple months anyway since Charter put all the religious networks in one spot. I mostly just watch Dr. Doug and his shows on prophecy..and I've found them to not variate too far from any of the other biggies who aren't SDA's.

Am I missing something here of why they're considered a cult??? :idunno:idunno
