I'm wondering if anyone has heard if there was another cash infusion by the fed today? I haven't heard anything about that either way yet.

Correction was way overdue, even in a bad market. Big money matures today at the Fed window. Let's see if the Fed injects to cover.

How can you determine when a correction is "overdue?" There's no such thing as a set time frame when we should see corrections (or busts) take place. If we could, we'd all be millionaires. Granted, through analysis when can use fundamentals as a guide to decrease risk, but there's no way to accurately predict anything.
Furthermore, if you think the correction is overdue, you must have been assuming that the market was better off than it really is. Hence, it's not overdue because things must be worse than originally assumed.

sorry for the confusion, what I meant is that the period of down days in a row is very rare, it was due for a bounce...although I do believe we are in a downtrend...I was speaking from a technical analysis point of view, however, we are in a very emotional market and technicals are meaning less and less in terms of predictive power imho...
I make about 110-240% per year using statistical analyis and technical trading alone for Nasdaq stocks, I do not even pay attention to what the stock is or what the company does...so it can be done, but not in these markets, at least with not significant risk...What stock trading capital I still have that I have not changed to gold is just sitting there waiting to see if the markets calm down...it has been exciting watching but boring as well b/c I am on the sidelines since 10/31...

We agree on something! And congrats on your returns. In a market like this I change strategies. For instance, when the markets tumbled last week, I bought. I'll probably sell today or tomorrow and expect another tumble. When that happens I'll buy again. It keeps it exciting and keeps me in the "game."
