Okay i am down to the last few weeks and not having a baby in 7 years they have alot of NEW things i've never seen before..:candle
A few questions for the Mommy's or Daddy's.... :hat
I saw these neat bottles there called Dr. Brown's -- and they look great for colicky or babies that throw up alot.. What is your opinion on them? They seemed to be more expensive and i don't mind buying that way IF they are worth the bucks.. I have had several babies that were either throwy uppy chillens and one that was collicky.. So this may be the way to go for us.
The bouncy chair: My youngest ds is the only one that had one of those.. we LOVED it.. I am leaning towards the baby papasan? Anyone used one; and your opinion on it.. Is it better/different then the original models 7 years ago.. :thinking
Okay that's all the questions for now -- my back is telling me to get up off this chair and go lay down. So until tomorrow -- :heythere

I don't know what they are called, maybe other new mothers might know. Hold up will look on net. Ok that was simple, baby sling. Alot of mothers (that have other children) are using them.
I wished I had one when our youngest was born. Couple of the mom's swear by them, saying they can get so much done. Plus one mom said her baby was normally a fussy baby but with the sling she is much more content.
Maybe other mom's can give you advice. Wish you was closer, I have some baby items I need to get rid of.

yes, the Dr.Brown's bottles are worth it.
Im not sure on the papsaan thing.
but a boppy pillow is also well worth having, for so many uses!! during feeding, for younger children to "hold" the baby, for a child to start sitting up it gives great support,
I even laid my baby across it to hold toys for a different position, also it's great for a baby who wants to be in the kitchen w/ you. I'd put it around my baby who was still learnign balance while sitting, when he was in the kitchen on the hard floor with me.
I'd put him in front of a cupboard with plastics and pans to play with while I cooked.
It was also a lifesaver while nursing, I could put baby on the pillow and he would nurse and I'd still have my hands free to eat my meal too! :)

Yes i am looking at the Ergo carrier one; and another board i visit has mentioned these slings as well.. I am definitely leaning towards one of these this time. It would be nice to be able to hold her close while trying to get things done; including school with the kiddos.. :thumb
Thanks for the offer...:hug I wish i knew more Mom's with little ones; i am feeling a bit nervous about what i am forgetting not to mention labor....:panic
Hubby just reminded me last night about sterilizing them bottles - duh totally forgot about that. But do i need to sterilize the water too?? That i dont' remember -- maybe bottled water would do? :thinking Gosh the things you forget when your kids' are bigger.. :lol2

Okay cool! We almost picked those bottles up last night; but i wanted to get some input from some Mom's/Dad's... Granny was telling me about the boppy pillow; and also some new chair thing for when they are a bit older for sitting up.. Can't remember what it was called though right now. Blinko?? something...
Gosh looking at the store last night -- they have ALL these NEW types of formula... I was a bit overwhelmed with my choices.. :twitch
Thanks for the info. on these bottles! :thumb

no problem. I breastfed so I didn't usebottles often, but I've heard lots of people really like them, and my sister used them for her little girl.
There are alot of 'parts' to it, but just put them all in the dishwasher for sterilization.

We had a Boppy pillow and used it for a long time. I used a bouncy seat that vibrated. When I had my ds I had 2 older kids so he was content sitting in the seat and watching them while I got stuff done.
I used playtex bottles with all 3 of mine, never had a colicky baby. I liked the disposable bags in the playtex.

I used the Dr. Brown bottles with my now 2 yr old. They are worth it. Another thing I like about them is that the nipples do not collaspe where you have to take it out of babies mouth so it will get back it's shape and the baby can get milk out of it again.
I also liked my Boppy pillow.
I didn't really like the sling I got, it made my back sore and when you bend over- the baby gets in the way. But I never thought of using it when I'm sitting and having your hands free. That sounds like a good idea.

My husband and I tried a lot of different bottles and found that Dr. Brown bottles worked the best. They really help with preventing gas with our daughter. We also love our swaddle blanket with the velcro. Our daughter's sleeping really improved with it and she started sleeping longer when she was in it. Around two months she had already started sleeping 6-7 hours straight at night. Hope this helps:)

By the way, the chair I think you were taking about is the bumbo seat. Absolutely wonderful! You can take them anywhere and now they make a tray that fits on to it.
