These are a series of books about Christian men's integrity written primarily by Stephen Arterburn and Fred Stoeker. I think they're awesome! I've really been learning a lot and improving my Christian walk and my marriage.

I'd llike to read it but afraid of having to explain the problems men have with lust to the wife!

Yeah, that's a difficult issue, but the books, particularly "Every Man's Battle," go into that and provide statements from women about it. And it actually dovetails nicely into what other books in the series say about marital oneness. If you're (generic "you're") holding this back from your spouse, you're robbing yourself of oneness with her. It's a scary decision - and admittedly it's one I myself haven't made yet - and will probably initially entail tears, anger, revulsion and other not-so-great things, but in the long run it's better to be open and honest. You (again, generic "you") can't go it alone and your wife is your helpmeet -emphasis on the "help" part of that. "Battle" warns that your wife shouldn't be your accountability partner (that should be a role played by another man you trust), which makes sense because if you have a setback, she probably would take it personally. However, your wife can help in other ways and the books discuss that, too. Obviously, she can help with the physical relations (usually, but not always - like when she gets sick), but she is there to help you emotionally and - most importantly - spiritually, too.
