Today after we did our basics, you know reading writing and arithmetic, we made placemats for Thanksgiving Day. I gave the girls a 12x18 foam sheet and then let them choose from different coloring sheets I printed. I also gave them a coloring page of a turkey that they could write in. They had to write a poem about Thanksgiving in the turkey and then color the outside. After that, we cut it out and glued it in the middle of the foam sheet. Around the turkey they could draw, cut out the other coloring pages and glue them or decorate it in any way they wanted to. It was a lot of fun and educational too, but don't tell them!

Tomorrow we are making scarecrows and Monday we are coloring and cutting out turkeys that the girls write what they are thankful for and placing them on our fall tree. Last Tuesday I let my pre-schoolers color and cut out fall leaves that we strung ribbon through and hung on the tree.

we did a little booklet on Pilgrims for my reader, and turkeys for my non - reader yesterday. They did the activities and colored the pictures, then cut out the pages and we fastened them with Star shaped brads.

today we made turkeys out of their hands and feet traced onto construction paper.

Im not sure what we'll do next week, but one thing will probably be name tags with scripture on them. as we have family coming over for dinner on Thursday.
