Does this qualify as a sign in the heavens?:faint
There is a beautiful picture on the website showing a photo of Holmes by a photo of the sun. Extraordinary days we live in, eh? I hope everyone takes a peek, it really is amazing.

i'm hesitant to agree that its a sign.... but honestly, if nothing of prophetic import happens while it is visible, i will be surprised.... how to link earthly happenings with the sighting and tracking of this space anomaly...i do not know.

I wonder if theres any connection to the reference in Revelation where the moon will turn red as blood, and something where day will become like night and so on.
I certainly imagine when it passes it as big as it is it would have to have a definite visual effect of both the sun and moon.
That is just amazing not just the size but such a pretty shade of color.
God is the supreme artist.

I wish that we could see this event down here in Australia. We had the wonderful privilege a few months ago of seeing the McNaught comet from our back yard early in the evenings. Does anyone know if Holmes will be passing over the star Al Genib ("who carries away") in the constellation of Perseus ("the breaker")? Bullinger's Witness of the Stars is an interesting Christian study about the zodiac.

My question is how can the figure out the size?? My mind can't fanthom the math in that? They have a good idea of how far away it is, and they can directly measure the angle it subtends against the sky.
The rest is relatively simple Trigonometry.

Maybe when it returns? :idunno
