Download question

I download stuff quite frequently for my sims2 game. I had my download settings set where it always popped up and asked me where to put the download. Lately, for some reason, it will go immediately into downloading to a temp file (that I never set it to do)...how can I get it back to where I had it???

Right now I have to right click and "save target as" and it gets old doing that... :gaah
