If that was so why did Jesus spend 3 1/2 years preaching the "Kingdom is at hand" before going to the cross to redeem mankind?

What was His purpose in creating mankind? The plan of redemption was made before the foundation of the earth. So why did God want to redeem mankind?

Hi Ryan! Let me challenge you with this:
The Bible says Jesus was the second Adam. Obviously, there would have been no need for a second if the the first one had been successful in His allegiance to God. We ok, so far?
Jesus succeeded and we are to be like Him, so says the Bible. Note: no mention of Heaven and hell in this "becoming as He is". I would submit to you that redemption was the pre-prepared recovery program set in motion of necessity in order for God to complete what He has purposed in Christ from the beginning of Himself, whenever that may have been :idunno. i.e., to have a vast Family of son's like unto Himself. See Eph.chapter 1.
This is the abridged picture of the gospel as I see it. Each part of what I submit to you can readily be enlarged upon without the need to haggle over doctrines; Calvin vs Arminius and the creeds.

OrmlyRedemption is not being saved from hell. It is being saved ... from what ever the issue prescibed by context.
Redemption ... or being "saved" is different dependant upon the audience to whom the Scripture is being addressed.
You seem sharp to me ... welcome ...
The Kingdom was to the Jewish audience who's long promise over much of the Old Testament was a temporal Earth bound Kingdom in which the Jew would live and prosper.
Salvation of all of mankind was not evident until after the Cross.
It was foreshadowed and foretold but not preached.
The question as to "why the 3 1/2 years" ... it was a promise and kept. The theme will be again picked up after the Rapture.
The date math can be had from Sir Robert Anderson's noteworthy books the most comprehensive of which is "The Coming Prince" ... I think you can find a link on the main RaptureReady website page.

Thanks, Blitz although with your calling me "sharp" I have to ask how you mean it because sometimes I can be that with my expressions.:)
Without discounting anything of the above from you, where do you place this in your thinking from Jesus:
Matthew 11:12 (KJV) And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven/God suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

I believe the gospel is about the Glory of God revealed through Christ. Little Summary:
The Uncreated Creator who spoke the worlds into existence and who uphold all things by the word of his power and who is in total control in the Heavens above and the earth below, and under the earth, and who is sovereign king inasmuch as he does what he wills and none can stop him or say to him, "why have you done this?" - that God, who no one can stop, who orders our thoughts and establishes our steps and sustains us by giving us the very breathe we need to live, stepped down from Glory and put on human flesh to suffer the wrath his justice demanded on behalf of his people.
This is what the Gospel entails - The Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

So it is all about redemption and God's Glory? That's it? Jesus could have satisfied that when as a Baby. Why 3 1/2 years after He become an adult especially since you believe God has everybody picked out as to their salvation and/or damnation?

Why did Jesus spend 3.5 years preaching "the Kingdom is at hand", in your opinion?

So are you saying the Kingdom of Heaven is really supposed to happen on earth and as Sons of God, like Christ, we are commissioned to create this Kingdom of Heaven on earth?
