Iran leader dismisses US currency (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7101050.stm)

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has suggested an end to the trading of oil in US dollars, calling the currency "a worthless piece of paper".

The call came at the end of a rare Opec summit, and was opposed by US ally Saudi Arabia.

The Iranian president had wanted to include the attack on the dollar in the summit's closing statement.

The communique made little mention of the dollar, however, focusing instead on energy security and the environment.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to post this here.

If somebody has a love for the truth, they'd have to agree with him no matter how evil he is. On the same note, if Iran isn't using silver and gold as currency, they have the same useless system too. Pot and the kettle.

Maybe I should have refrained from posting this? :idunno I posted it after reading the thread about the OPEC meeting where they forgot to turn off the microphone.

No, I for one am glad you posted it because it's true. :hat

Even though it's true, Iran's Pres ain't quick to say his country's currency is just as useless as the next one's. That is if the actual currency material in your hand isn't literally worth it's face value.
