Picture this:
As the hart pants
And the salmon leap
The river churns
Into pools wide and deep
Deep down it plunges
Clean, clear and free
Yet the waterfall's size
Is no match for the tree
Cedar, sugar pine, redwood and ash
All reach to the heavens and back in a flash
I'm not there right now
But some day I'll return
I'll be back in the forest
Where forever I'll yearn
As the hart pants
And the salmon leap
The river churns
Into pools wide and deep
Deep down it plunges
Clean, clear and free
Yet the waterfall's size
Is no match for the tree
Cedar, sugar pine, redwood and ash
All reach to the heavens and back in a flash
I'm not there right now
But some day I'll return
I'll be back in the forest
Where forever I'll yearn
