Actually, the writers have explicitely stated that the losties are not dead and are not in purgatory or hell.

Now that the show has been guaranteed 3 more full seasons, it will give the writers a chance to think up an ending. How long can a show like this go on? The first season was great.... Since then, it has gone downhill so fast that I had to jump off bandwagon. I can't stand to watch it now.

Of course they would say that now. But who knows. If they run out of ideas in the third season to come, they may steal that one anyway.

I still watch the show, it's well, entertaining and also extremely frustrating.

3 more seasons eh?

Lost is the perfect show for TIVO...go about your business and wait for a few episodes to record, then watch them all without commercials. That way you get maybe 1 or 2 episode ending gasps that you can watch the next one right away...:lol2 Otherwise, my ADD will not allow me to function if I really have to wait week by week...:willie

Heroes is like that too....
