...since I was on here. Friends and family, as you may or may not re-call there was a man named TonkaTruck who had a wife named Poohninner, who use to be on RR. Well that man is me! Yes, faithful friends and good citizens, I am back.

Alot has happen since I was on here last....lost 250+ pounds from the gastric-bypass surgery. Got a new job, which I don't like. The money is good, but the enviroment is toxic to my health [12 hr swing shifts & I've gained 25 pounds back], my family and my faith. I didn't listen to my wife or God when I took it, so its nobodies fault but mine! however praying that something will come along so I can finish college. Poohninner got sick and I needed something with a bigger paycheck to pay for her a doctor, and quit College. So I went out and took a 2 yr. Temp job with Corning near where we live. She got better (praise the Lord), but the extra money I was making is absorbed into other bills and so we are not in any better shape.

We've moved three times since I was on here last, and the new place is in the country, and its nice. Still it's 20 miles to work and gas prices are climbing.

My oldest daughter is in college and getting ready to get married sometime in the future. I havent talked with her in over two years now. I ran into her mother a few weeks back at Bob Evans and she gave me a quick run down on what has been going on. She still resents me...I've forgiven her for what happened between us, but she still holds a grudge....that's a long story.

Our second daughter, is getting ready to start the process of applying to colleges....UVA is her top choice. I tried to push Penn State, Pittsburgh or Harvard, but she is thinking of in-state tution...she wants to go to medical school and be a nurse. She's working and doing well otherwise....she still has anxiety problems, and she could use some prayer.

Our son, well, he's doing good. This year in school he is doing better, not as well as I had hoped, but still better. Trying to get him involved with sports just aint happening...hope that in the spring I can get him involved with baseball....bought him a glove for Christmas this year.

Poohninner is doing well...lots of medical problems, but overall she is a blessing. We spent last night fixing Thanksgiving Dinner for today, for her family and they'll be up sometime today to gobble it down and return home to Bristol Virginia. I say they'll be here for about 45 minutes before rushing back home....almost not worth it. But Poohninner is wanting to do this, and I agreed. She's a wonderful woman...and I am blessed to have her in my life!

Back in July we went to Pittsburgh, PA for vacation. We got to see the Pirates play the Brewers on the Fourth of July and it just made me wish we lived there even more. Being a Steelers fan, this is like the holy grail to me. We stayed in the North Hills and drove into Pittsburgh every day...my gosh it was incredible! Went down to the strip, hung out in the city, Poohninner got to ride her first subway, and we just had a great time...I want to go back...NO, I want to live there! I have been to chicago, Philly, St. louis, Nashville, Charlotte, Norfolk, and a few other cities, but none is like Pittsburgh!

Church is awesome! I still run the sound room on Sunday's...but not as often as I use too. My job takes me away from Church...if I am lucky I can go to two Sunday services a Month...I have a deal worked out with another co-worker on a different rotation, I work her Friday's and she works my Sunday's. It works for now, until she quits or something happens that prevents us from trading shifts.

Christmas and Thanksgiving is here....I love this time of year. It brings out the best, and even though I am threatened at work if I turn the radio to the all-Christmas station, I still have that Christmas spirit...thank Jesus for giving us all these wonderful things...friends, family and the Rapture Ready board. glad to be back by the way and I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving....I'll be on again, sometime in the next few weeks....take care and give me a hollar back!

Hey Tonka!! Good to see ya again!! Glad to hear that things are mostly going well for you. Too bad about school for you...you'll be in my prayers that things work out about going back. I just started back (I'm in my 2nd class), and it's kickin' my butt. Trying to juggle a wife, 3kids under 8, full-time work, leading a Bible study, Church, and school is interesting to say the least. Are you out in Corning, NY? I used to live out there in the late 70's/early 80's, although I haven't been back since.
