On October 11, prominent house church leader, Hua Huiqi, was repeatedly attacked and beaten by police at his home. According to China Aid Association, “Hua was reading his Bible at his home despite police surrounding his house. He was sent to Beijing Tiantan Hospital, because he lost consciousness after repeated beatings from the police.” China’s Public Security Bureau (PSB) recently put Hua under house arrest. PSB officers had been surrounding his house, when they attacked him. Pastor Hua’s 77-year-old mother, Shuang Shuying, remains very ill in prison, serving a two-year sentence. VOM contacts say she is being held hostage by police in order to put pressure on Pastor Hua to reveal names and information of believers. Pray for Hua’s speedy recovery and for God to minister and encourage him while he is in the hospital. Ask the Holy Spirit to convict his attackers and draw them into the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Oh Abba, do mass miracles for these beloved saints of your who suffer for the Name of Jesus Christ. Oh Lord, how our hearts cry out for them! Lord...deliver them from this evil and infuse them with your supernatural strength and holy angels to hold them up. Hide them ABBA from the wicked we pray in Jesus Name! Do more miracles so that the lost who persecute them might come to Christ we pray it all in Jesus Name amen. :cry

You can go here and actually see a picture of Shuang Shuying and read about her and her son. You can also write letters to these persecuted Christians using the website.

My respect and awe go to this man and his wonderfully strong-in-spirit mother. Like Paul, they are fighting the good fight. Oh, what rewards in Heaven they must be reaping. I pray that his followers find strength and fortitude by witnessing his walk and do likewise. The enemy can inflinct all kinds of injuries to the mortal body. It must be very frustrating for them to know that they cannot harm or even touch the soul. Praise God that He sustains those that are on the front lines of this spiritual war of the world.
