Pain at the Pump

"This past week Americans traveled approximately 2 billion miles to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with family and loved ones. While you cannot put a price on time with family, Americans sure felt the pain of higher fuel prices at the gas pump. It is time to take an honest look at the government's direct and indirect role in inflating those prices."

Although I can "afford" gasoline, the high prices have finally had an impact on my personal life. Like everyone else, I have to spend what I spend on gas to get to and from work, that is a given. Where it has impacted me is that I no longer just hop in my vehicle and drive somewhere for pleasure. This of course impacts any stores and restaurants that I would have gone to and spent money at etc. So it has a trickle down effect.
From what I'm reading and hearing, the gas prices are the least of our worries right now.
Our entire economy is in trouble.
