I have a few question regarding the Apostles. Where any of them married? If yes, did they abandon their families to follow Jesus?

At least a few were married. I think one had his wife travel with him (Peter?).
I cant remember the Scripture reference just now...
Edit: Found it.
Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?
(1Co 9:5)
Cephas was another name for Peter.

Matthew 19; 27-30. Then Peter answered and said to Him, "see, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?" So Jesus said to them, "assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His Glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My Name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit everlasting life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first."

Peter was definitely married.
Matthew 8:14-15
14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

Is it because of the wording of the verses?
This came first:
Matthew 19:27-30.
This is later:
1 Corinthians 9:5
Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?
It seems they may have left wives and family behind who later came and joined them.
Maybe somebody else would know for sure?

J4E, was it my post that confused you? Hootman answered the first part of your question. Yes, some of them were married. The bible is silent on most of the apostles private lives. Although, the fact that Peter was married, and the RCC claims him, but doesn't allow their preists to get married, always makes me laugh. The fact that Peter is the only one mentioned as being married, and how the RCC has distorted views on marriage for their preists, but the RCC bases their religion and papacy on Peter. But I digress. What I'm trying to say is that the Apostles were everyday people like us; having families, children, jobs, wives, etc.........But made extraordinary through The Man they called "Master." I was trying to answer the second part of your question, which is yes, the Apostles left all to follow Jesus on His 3-year ministry prior to His death and ressurection. And the fact that all of them were martyred, except John the Beloved, for their faith in Him, is a tribute to our Christian Way.

All were married except John; even Paul.
Read what Paul says in 1 Cor 8:3-5 :) <><
