Walmart has a new TV ad, and I don't know what to think of it. Now, Walmart is one of my favorite stores and I think they normally have a wholesome imagine, even if not Godly (like saying happy holidays instead of the proper season's greeting).

But now I see their "holiday" slide is going even further. Their new commercial has kids begging for toys from their parents, which some might find cute (personally, it seems a little too much like chasing worldy objects instead of glorifying God) - but at the end, they have two demons-like creatures talking to the kids! They look like little imps and I just don't know what to think. I'd like to think maybe its just bad artwork, but they look kind of demonic in nature. The worst is that this is targetted at kids.

Has Walmart gone over to the "dark side", or am I looking into this too much?

The whole world is on the dark side. :idunno

Ive been offended by many of the commercials The one by Hyundia Honda and Altell make my blood pressure go up every time I see them. Havent seen the Wal Mart one yet, not looking forward to it either. Send Wal Mart a E mail they are somewhat responsive to their customer base. Not that they are moral but they do look at the bottom line and offending their customer base does impact their profits

We went shopping at Wal Mart last night......I know I know.....but we needed food and fast. We don't normally shop there but had to last night. And we stopped at Sam's Club too to get some stuff as well. Then came home but they did say Happy Holidays to us and we weren't happy about that. If I go again, I will say Merry CHRISTMAS.

Don't mind the Happy Holidays saying since its not Christmas yet. I think they are just trying to bundle all the events. Now I hope they say Merry Christmas as it gets closer. Who knows what they will say then.

I was shocked to walk into my local Target last night and see "Merry Christmas" signs hanging everywhere!!! I usually shop at Target, but have been debating what to do this Christmas season if they resorted to "Happy Holidays" again this year. I AM ECSTATIC!!!!

Nothing wrong with that. Hope they remember to say Merry Christmas after Hanukkah is over.

Wow....seems like if it is not half-naked women dancing around, it's now demon-like creatures. We have a commercial running around here for upgrading cable, and it's women laying all over the place, half dressed, or dancing......FOR CABLE !!

I would say the dark side has definately taken over.:fear

I'd be more disturbed by the fact that Walmart uses slave-labor and child-labor in 3rd-world sweatshops to make their products.

It's nice to see that the commercialization of Christmas isn't dead. What better way to glorify God than to use Christ's birth to create a larger profit.
