I love the idea of lapbooking. My daughter is totally hands on and this is just a great idea for her. I am however looking to start her off slowly. I would like to find some literature lapbooks for a 6th grade girl.
Have any of you found any already put together lapbooks for literature?
If so can you post a link here.
Thanks
Also I am looking for one that covers the early American history.

If you are wanting hands-on early American history try Home School in the Wood's Time Traveler series: http://homeschoolinthewoods.com/HTTA/TTS/
We LOVE it! They are cd-roms that include lessons, projects, cooking, notebooking, and a final lapbook that brings it all together. They are $28.95 but soooo worth it. Everything is reproducible so it can be used over and over.
We did the first one in the series (New World Explorers) this year and had a blast! It really made history interesting for us and now we can't wait to start Colonial Life in January.

I agree (Green Darner beat me to it) -- you should find what you're looking for at www.homeschoolinthewoods.com. Very high-quality products.

The homeschoolinthewoods is the one I came across. My daughter is in 6th grade but slower than most kids. Do you think this would be good for her? This would be her first lapbook "type" of thing she will be doing.

It is geared towards middle grade students so she should do fine with it. My son started them our first year of homeschooling which was his 4th grade year and didn't have any trouble. Try it. It's lots of fun!

Thanks for the link! I think we are going to do their lapbook on the senses. It's for K age kids, and mine are in 2nd and 4th, but it's nice and simple which will be a good start. :thumb

Ok, dumb question here but what type of glue do you use to put them together with? Do you use paper glue that is made to not wrinkle or warp or do you use just plain old Elmer's?
I have both but I let the kids use the Elmer's this morning and the pages are getting warped. The paper glue comes in a can with a brush but it is so messy I didn't let them use it........I'm wondering if I should have now. :doh :lol2
