6 shot getting off school bus In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - Six junior high or high school students were shot Tuesday after they got off a school bus, and two were critically hurt, police said.

Gunshots rang out in northeast Las Vegas just before 2 p.m., Officer Bill Cassell said.

Six young people were transported to area hospitals. Four had minor gunshot injuries and two were in critical condition, Cassell said.

At least two people are believed to have taken part in the shootings, he said. Police were not saying whether the shooting suspects were on foot or in a vehicle.

I remember my school bus got shot at once with a BB gun (or I think it was) ... It was shot at the window in front of mine where I was sitting. The window shattered and The bus was still moving. If the person waited a few second more, he would have shot me but thankfully the seat in front of me was empty.

Anyway, we knew who did it and he got suspended from school because of it. He must have thought he could get away with it because it was the last day of school and he was already home waiting for us (the bus)

I've tried to get local news about this and would you believe there is no coverage on local channels in Las Vegas?

That's the way it was this weekend here in CO with the New Life incident. I was getting everything from CNN...there was nothing on the local stations. Even when the evening news came on, they spent an hour talking about election issues before giving just a quick, short blurb on the shooting. I also understand that they interrupted the Bronco game with a quick "news flash," but very promptly returned to the game because "we know that the Broncos are important to your family and the community." :rolleyes :ohno
