How to get a college football playoff

Let me begin by stating that I am an LSU grad and huge fan. However, even though my Tigers are in the BCS championship game, I still feel strongly that we need a playoff system. It is fairly obvious that the university presidents will not allow this to happen for many reason$.

I wonder how the players feel? If the college football players really want a playoff system, why not form a "players union" and threaten to not play if no playoff system is started. Now I know that they would be in danger of losing scholarships, but if 90% of the players nationwide signed on, do you really think the college presidents would remove these scholarships? College football has become big busine$$ for these schools.

I think that it will take an extreme grass-roots effort to make this work. What if fans simply stayed away? (I don't think that will happen).

What are your thoughts? Are we stuck with this broken system?:idunno

The team, yes. The coach, I dunno. Jim Tressel is one heck of a coach. I just hope LSU's athletes can nullify in advantage in coaching.

I like the mock playoff set up that they have on www.collegefootballnews.com. It is a 16 team playoff with all conference champions making the field. So under that system, every team would have a chance at the championship at the start of the season. Like basketball. But that makes too much sense and not enough money to ever happen.

In the championship game, I think LSU will win by 10. they should be 100% by game time.
