John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

One of the frequently "overlooked" passages of scripture that points to us being in the end times is Daniel 2:41-44
v.41 "And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided... v. 42 And as the toes of the feet...v.44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

This verse is referring to the Roman Empire Legs and Toes portion of the Metallic statue (Dan 2:40-45) and also the horned stage of the 4th dreadful and terrible beast (Dan 7:7-28).

The fourth Kingdom began to break apart in the 3rd Century with the appointment of a quartet of rulers called Tetrachs from Asia to Spain to Britain. There were two Emperors and two Caesars. Constantine cemented the schism when he transferred the Imperial (political) Insignia to Constantinople in 476 A.D. The process of breaking apart continued throughout the Colonial era of the European powers when the descendants of Rome ruled the whole World, and since the 20th Century there has continued to be splitting and national diversification. The splitting of Czech Republic and Solvakia was a recent example, and it is likely that Kosovo will break away from Serbia in the near future as well.

The scriptures state that it is in the end stage of the devolution of this 4th Kingdom that the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. (Dan 2:44).

This happened in 1948, when the Kingdom base was given on trust to the "the people of the saints of the most High"(Daniel 7:27). i.e. the Jewish Descendants of Daniel's people - (Judah.)

Jerusalem (their Capital) came back under Jewish Control in the 1967 "6 day war".

The final controversy will be over who holds Jerusalem - Islam or Judaism, in preparation for the return of Jesus Christ who is to rule from the Davidic throne in Jerusalem.

That is why we are in the end-times.
