Admins, I'm not sure if this is where this particular article should go. If I have put it in the wrong place, would you move it to where it belongs? Thank you. :)

Several months ago, I was catching up on some reading on the Rapture Ready main site. I came across this article that was reposted from 2005 by Brian Price, "The Blessed Hope: A Closer Look Into the Rapture". It is a GREAT article, and I highly encourage all of you to read it.

http://www.raptureready.com/soap/Brian.html

About half way through the article, he brought up an interesting point that I had never thought about before. He brought up the point that even the demons believe in the rapture, and went on to explain what different groups have to say about the rapture, and why so many people will disappear.

(Scroll down through the article to "Even the Demons Believe and Tremble")

One of the groups mentioned in this article really caught my attention..."Share International". The reason it caught my attention is that just recently I had noticed that this particular group was placing advertisements in our local papers!

Sometimes these advertisements are a little black box with white writing, and sometimes they are white boxes with black writing. Most of them read just like this:

The One Prophesied

by all the world's religions will soon be seen by everyone. He will not endorse any single religion over any other. He will not come across as a religious figure. He will be known as the "World Teacher" & is full of perfect wisdom and love for everyone.

He'll inspire mankind to see itself as one family & to rebuild the world so that it is a great place for everyone. The time for war, poverty, & corrup politicians, has passed.

Read all about it! Call for free literature:
The advertisement gives a toll-free phone number and the website for Share-International.org

(Quoted word for word from my local paper, as I saved one of the advertisements to share with this board. I hope it is okay to do this????)

If you visit their website, they are eagerly awaiting this "World Teacher" and they call him Maitreya.

I found Brian's article very encouraging and uplifting, and it made me look at the rapture from a different perspective...through the eyes of the enemy! I have to say that I had never thought about what false religions taught about the rapture, or how they would explain it away.

This Maitreya speaks through Benjamin Creme, who is paving the way for Maitreya to enter this world. It appears that quite a bit of their religion is based on New Age practices such as channeling. They promote world peace, "sharing" what we have...dividing up everthing equally to alleviate poverty and world hunger, and of course, the coming of the "World Teacher", Maitreya.

It puts an entirely different spin on the rapture, doesn't it? :)

wow, they put ads in the newspaper? That is something, isn't it?

I've been reading some of the articles here on RR, and they are all so interesting and informative. I read one, can't recall which one, where the author thinks that the deception will come in the form of UFOs shaped like pyramids, with one really big one, to somehow imitate the New Jerusalem coming out of the sky.

Can you call the newspaper and find out how much that ad cost them to run? I'm curious.

Maitreya is a joke. No need to worry about him..he's no threat: No standing military, no tanks, no fighter jets..no nukes...zilch. He cant fight his way out of a paper bag! lol

Dunno "For-Knowledge":

I have to agree a bit with our thread originator here --- at least pause for thought.

I went to the web-site and I have to say--- Matthew 7:15 [NKJV] tells us...

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves."

I realize there is a WHOLE multitude of sins here, but when you get this type of "man-of-peace" stressing the "inner-self"... If it "walks-like-a-duck..." maybe?

It is sobering to see these things [that] just a generation ago would be laughed at or scorned, but not so now.

False prophets can still lead others astray. They are always a concern.

Yeah, they put ads in the paper on a monthly basis. I keep my eye out for them.

These people are really into UFO's and all of that as well as the channeling that I mentioned before.

I'm not worried about Maitreya. I just find it fascinating that people have a hard time believing that Jesus Christ died for their sins, rose from the dead, and will return to earth to rule someday.....yet they do not find believing in UFOs and all of that kind of stuff unusual. (???)

It just proves that we all have this big empty void within us that is meant to be filled by God, and if he doesn't fill it, then we will find something else to fill it. It actually breaks my heart to think of the lost souls that are trying to fill that God-void with anything other than Him.

the anti-christ wont need those things right away, they will be given to him when he comes on the scene. so, what he has now or doesnt have now, and whoever the ac is, it really doesnt matter anyway. I plan to be gone from here when the ac is revealed. At least, that is my hope in Christ.

Lucis Trust has been placing similiar ads for decades since the 60s I believe. They are probably affiliated with them in some way.

You hit the nail on the head Enoch.

Lucis Trust (formerly Lucifer Trust Publishing) publishes the teachings of Alice Bailey, a well-known "channeler/new ager." Her writings are referenced on the shareinternational.org site as footnotes to many articles.

Lucis Trust is also Non-Government Organization with consultative status with the United Nations. The Share Internation organization also believes that there will be a world organization, headed/administered by the UN, that will restructure the world's economic system, etc. etc.

These people are lost, very lost (and I pray for them to see the light). They are helping to fulfill prophecy though, without even knowing it! :scratch

I am not saying this Maitreya is the Antichrist of the Book of Revelation, but he is an antichrist. It is interesting to me to see how these things are connected, and what "the other side" thinks. Not to follow, but to be aware of what is going on around me, physically and especially spiritually.
