Wow! I've never seen Death Wish (Charles Bronson) before but it's a real guy movie! There's a commercial break so I wanted to get that into this thread! It's on AMC until 12:00 Midnight ET. It was made in 1974, but I've never seen it for some reason (I've heard of it). Good movie so far..

I was just going to mention Death Wish because it was on TV last night in my area. Definitely a guy flick!

Ace Attorney, what's wrong with calling some of the movies mentioned 'guy movies'? Why are you calling the ones mentioned 'sexist'? This is a Men's Forum. It should be expected. You're certainly free to mention what you like, but when you start calling the ones already mentioned sexist it seems you're trying to start an argument.
To the best of my knowledge, I never called any of the movies mentioned so far sexist. While I'm sure there are sexist movies, and while it wouldn't surprise me if some of the films mentioned here were sexist (random probability), I haven't seen most of the films mentioned here, and thus I am not qualified to call them sexist or not sexist.
What I am against, and what I do deem sexist practice, is to classify certain films as "guy movies". To put it simply, I have never seen anyone give a justification for this classification (real or otherwise) that wasn't sexist. Of course, if someone feels up to the challenge of providing a non-sexist justification, feel free.
On topic: I'm mentally kicking myself for not mentioning this film earlier:
Gattaca. In my opinion, this is the most underrated film of all time.

Why is being a guy sexist?
If the women have gal movies that they discuss, you know, the sicky sweet romantic stuff, is that sexist?

Death Wish II was on AMC tonight. I watched some of it but was doing other things. I had never seen any of the movies in that series but the theme does strike a chord. It reminded me, though, that the Lord says "Vengeance is mine."
I thought it was a little "coincidental" that Bronson's character is somehow always approached by bad guys! :scratch Muggers just come out of the woodwork when you walk by yourself at night in NYC with a loaded

My wife watched a chick flick movie with my daughter this weekend. You know the type. The one with all of the melo-dramatic music, woman in long Victorian dresses, etc. I couldm't stand to be in the same room with that on. :)

I've got 5 daughters. They and my wife are always watching "Little Women." I have to leave the room. That movie is over the top and makes my skin crawl. It's scarier than Nightmare on Elm Street.

I never said that being a guy was sexist. I don't even know where you got that from. I am going to state this quite clearly: I AM AGAINST THE CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN FILMS AS "GUY MOVIES", BECAUSE SUCH A CLASSIFICATION IS SEXIST.
If the women have gal movies that they discuss, you know, the sicky sweet romantic stuff, is that sexist?
If they classify them as "gal movies" (or some other classification that means the same thing), then yes, that is sexist. Perhaps I should have clarified that earlier.
On topic: My latest addition to my favourites list:
Independence Day: the scene where the White House gets destroyed is so iconic it got referenced in Shadow the Hedgehog, for crying out loud (one of the better parts of that game, although that's not saying much).
