Hello! :hat
Just wanted to take the time to better introduce myself. I had posted a prayer request yesterday and there was a bit of a mix-up. I am a pastor in Allegan, MI doing a church plant for the neighboring community of Otsego, MI (which will include both Allegan and Plainwell MI). I am also the chaplain at the M40 Speedway in Jones, MI. The mix-up is that I am a [I]woman[I] not a man!!! Sorry for the confusion.
I know that being a woman in ministry is a bit of a controversy in itself but I find it very comical that in my Believer's Bible Commentary by William McDonald that the argument of women being pastor's according to God using Deborah as a prophet as invalid because of the time when Deborah was called. The time in which she served as a prophet and judge of Israel was a time of declension - if these are not times of declension, then the prophet Joel was also wrong when he said that God's spirit would be poured out on all mankind. Then Revelation would be wrong and the entire Bible would be a farce - we're all in trouble then.
All kidding aside, I am blessed to be serving in each of these capacities.
I wish you all well and pray for God's blessings on your lives.
Take care,
Pastor Kris
