Since there are a lot of us grieving here (sometimes the main reason we find ourselves at Rapture Ready in the first place) I was just wondering how a new category kind of like GriefNet would go over? :idunno When my son was recently taken Home I searched the net for Christian help/hope. So many grief sites require subscriptions and money. Something a lot of us don't have. I just was wondering what you all think.:wave

Usually grief breeds more grief so we use prayer requests for those issues.

Sorry, Buzzard. Just thought it would be nice to have a place to go not necessarily just to request prayer but ideas on how to live one day at a time with the loss of a child, parent or other close loved-one. When I loss my son, I was told to seek counseling from a specialist. I know all too well, specialists are often non-Christians. Besides, you never know just how depressed or desperate some one in the depths of grief might be. A kind word from some one who might say, "I've been there. I know where you're at and I wish to get in the yoke with you and help share your burden." could do a whole lot more than talking to a shrink who doesn't have a clue how you feel and only ends of trying to shove drugs off on you. :idunno

:hug What your talking about does go on here in other forums and in many threads. It is also often done through pm messages,as those who feel led to reach out to one another. Its what generally happens throughout this board when someone posts and shows signs of needing encouraged. Members often post threads that are an encouragement in Christian Chat, or the praise or prayer forums. We are there for one another as scriptures tells us to be.We are all one big family after all. :hug :wave
