The Son That Never Sets
The day is dying. The sun drifts downwards in its last show of glowing gold.
How many numbered days are left Lord? You, who know the number of hairs on my head. You, who know when the sparrow falls. How many days will end as today; the slow fade of earth's ball of light falling into nowhere?
When will we see your face? How long do we look up towards the sky and wonder when you, the true light of the world brings us to your side? The side of our Savior, Son of God, Jesus.
"When you see these things, look up" Is your Bride almost readied for you, Lord? Are we almost complete? Show us where to plant your seed of salvation's message. "Come to Jesus, Come to Jesus." May your glory show in us. May your beauty bring wonder and desire to the lost to hear the message of salvation. May you glow in us, dear Savior. We delight in being called "a peculiar people" as we know it is on solid ground we stand.
Earth's time draweth nigh. Soon, burnt up in fire. A dream in the believer's mind of "all things new"! The Son of God, Savior, Jesus; our Beloved Father, World Without End, Cornerstone, Creator, Redeemer, Shepherd, Song of Salvation, Heart and Soul's Desire, Shelter, Shepherd, Divine Glorious God.. The Son That Never Sets, Come Quickly and Bring us Home. Amen.
