Component Attributes
RAM (standard) 128 MB
Maximum HP approved upgrade 1 GB
Speed PC2100/PC1600
Type DDR
DIMM Slots Two http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?docname=bph07378&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN#N318

Your machine apparanly wont support the PC2700 memory you mentioned. You need to get PC2100 instead.

What does that 333 and 184 pin mean?333 is another way to state the memory speed. 333 x 8 is about PC2700. You apparantly need PC2100 or about 266

The 184-pin refers to the type of socket it plugs in to.

I cant go to e-bay from work.

Found this at Newegg... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820141172

Look for something that says something more or less like this... 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 266 (PC 2100)

Windows Vista and XP 32-bit editions can address approximately 3.3 GB. This limitation is present on all 32-bit hardware and 32-bit operating systems and is not limited to HP and Compaq systems.

So, if you have either these OS then you put in 2 GB (1GBx2)
