Shocked!
Shocked at alittleleaven.com! Without so much as any facts they go and pin this on Jaci! And with such crass comments in the video as well.
Listen guys, you probably know more about this situation than I do, but I'd like to remind you that Jaci is the singer here. Without further details, I can't assume that she was the choreographer, the casting agent, the booking agent, the wardrobe attendant, the makeup artist, the director, the show producer or anyone else that was involved prior to this video clip you see. For all I know the first time she saw this was when she got up on stage.
I have friends that have worked with Jaci and have always said nice things about her and her family. Many years ago of course. But you have to remember that this industry is mostly run by SECULAR interests and their goal is cash, not missions and evangelism.

There is no excuse for ignorance, she had the free will to walk off the stage in protest.
To whom much is given, much is required.
Too much compromising going on today....
Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before the fall.

She sure looks as if she's having a great time. Sorry, but she made a choice - whether it was before the concert in the planning stages or during the concert when she discovered what the dancers were wearing.

That clip is 4 or 5 years old. I'm sure she's grown since then.

And so she agrees to do it? She can choose to say "No thank you, this isn't honoring to God." No one is forcing her.

I'm not condoning this by any means, but I am CONDEMNING the assumption that she is somehow to blame for this by using her name as the culprit.
If that's the case, the next time any of you go out and buy a Christian CD produced by a secular company, then you are as much to blame as she is by indicating with your wallet that you support this garbage. Can any of you say that you are better than her in matters of morality when it comes to your personal entertainment?
Could she have walked off the stage? Yep. But she may have had a contractual obligation as well. So could she have legally walked off the stage? If she broke the law would that have been Biblically acceptable? Which sin would have been worse? How do you choose?
There is more to think of here than "Jaci is bad for standing in front of dancers who wore a top and shorts." Hopefully I've helped you see that there is an unseen force at work here and by condemning Jaci without looking at what is driving this force you can consider yourself deceived.

I went to her website and read where she started with a major record contract at age 14! The video couldn't have been recent as she just gave birth to her adorable first son with Nic (from Salvador) on Nov. 3, 2007. She mentions going through a horrible time emotionally and spiritually with the divorce from her first husband. Yes, she has a responsibility as someone in the limelight representing Christ; however, everyone needs a little grace. It seems as though she's back on track spiritually now. Let's forgive and celebrate where she is now in her life. She is a beautiful latino lady who has a wonderful talent from God. Let's let him do the judging. http://jacivelasquez.com/news-detail.php?pageid=700773&newsid=1324
