I have to make a decision... it requires making a sacrifice on my part and putting the desires of another before mine. It isn't a big deal, but I want to make it one and that is just wrong.... so PLEASE pray that I can bite my pride and just let this be...

Praying for you, wife. You know, it might be helpful for you to think about why you want to make _____ a big deal. There may be some underlining issues i.e. feeling hurt, angry, embarrassed or neglected in that or another area. Perhaps writing a bit as you think through your feelings will help you get to the bottom of this.

Recently I kept on wanting to make an issue about something, couldn't seem to let it go and finally I realized that beneath my anger, I was really very hurt and disappointed. Guess it took me awhile to figure out because the anger was more prominent.

Once I realized that, it helped me to understand what was going on and just pray for God's peace over that hurt as I'm not in the position to deal with the person who was hurtful. Things seem much more peaceful inside for me now.

Anyways, I'm probably shooting in the dark here but thought it might be helpful to you. :hug :)

No you are right. That is the reason... That is what I have been praying about, that I would let go of the hurt.

Are you able to talk with this person about feeling hurt? Is this something that's happened to you with other people on a regular basis? Just wondering if there's a bigger hurt that this person just happen to tap into.

yes, we have talked about it and they don't want me to feel hurt and they want to put my needs before theirs, and I really don't mind letting them, but I made such a big deal about it before.......
