SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Some San Jose residents were begging for the public's help Thursday night after they were attacked by teens with skateboards, NBC11's Charlotte Fadipe reported.

Maria, Jason, and Dan did not want to reveal their last names because the attack left them seriously injured and terrified, Fadipe reported.

They were at a stoplight on Foxworthy and Meridian avenues in San Jose in a brand-new Lexus, coming home from a church party on New Year's morning.

Police said for no apparent reason a group of about 12 teenagers began hitting the vehicle with their skateboards.

How horrible! If those teenagers don't repent and see the light, they'll be seeing some of the darkest layers of hell.

As much I don't want to encourage violence, I think I would've hit a few of them with my car.

I was at a park with my boys....and some teenagers kept following us...they were trying to intimidate me....BUT....I have lived in a dangerous neighborhood and I used to listen to punk/goth, so they didn't scare me....it just made me angry....I had to keep my mouth shut because I knew if I said something that would give them a reason to start a fight...

I am a high school teacher and must say that teens today are generally more respectful than the baby-boomer generation IMHO.:heythere
