I've often pondered on the heirarchy, for we know that there are different degrees or strengths. Christ told the deciples that "This kind is only cast out by prayer and fasting." but I don't think Our Lord wants us to dwell on it. I think He just wants us to BE AWARE.
I have to agree. I was wondering about something similar when, in my Sunday school class we were discussing the genealogy listed in Genesis 5 from Adam to Noah. Then the guy teaching went to Jude 1:14 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodlyu of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him."
When you go to the OT you cannot find the prophesy because there is very little mentioned about Enoch. So, of course, my curiosity got the better of me, and I started digging into where Jude got this quote from. Everything I found suggested that he probably got this prophecy from the Book of Enoch, which is not in either the Christian Bible or the Hebrew Torah. It is an extrabiblical account that, most likely, wasn't even written by Enoch but the book is full of demonic accounts and gives some pretty detailed accounts about the fallen state of the angels. The prophecy Jude quoted is very similar to a prophecy in the Book of Enoch. Another possibility was that God divinely gave this information to Jude, or that this particular prophecy in the Book of Enoch was an actual prophecy spoke by Him, and Jude knew it to be true. Anyway, after doing my digging, I became distressed and frightened and just a bit weirded out, I guess. I think it's because I was digging into something that I hadn't spiritually prepared myself for.

I always wondered if Extra Terrestrials were actually what we call demons or fallen angels. I have reason to believe that ET might be fallen angels out to decieve mankind. Has anyone else ever thought about that.
Alot of people believe this. Many also believe this will be how the rapture is explained.

no
we do not read the book of Enoch
We do not base balanced biblical doctrines upon extra biblical books
If a doctrine cannot be supported by our inspired collected text of scriptures it must be discarded

Which is why we should avoid the spirit of fear and extrabiblical books that were written by gnostics, mystics, and heretics.

I absolutely understand! I too have read the Book of Enoch back years ago. I didn't want to read it, until I found out a version of it was found in The Dead Sea Scrolls. This adds credibility to the book, although I WOULD NEVER put it on the same level with The Bible. I believe Our Lord intentionally kept it out because He knew all believers aren't prepared to face some of the darker stuff.
It's frightening, yet I came out with a much stronger sense of how Awesome Our Lord is and how much He's put up with concerning those in the world and in the heavenly realms. It leaves you no doubt about "the War" that is going on around us, and who is going to WIN! :thumb

I believe though that we can communicate with the dead.
i cannot remember the scripture right now that deals with this. i hope someone can remember. i do know we cannot speak with the dead. the Bible makes it clear it is evil to attempt this. the only person that we are to talk to is our mediator Jesus Christ himself. if you have tried this STOP:ohno. i hope this helps. maranatha

God doesn't look too favourably on those who speak to the dead...
A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them.

God made mankind with a very valuable tool:
IMAGINATION!
This too must be held in check with the Godly spirit of discerment.
