I was just watching a program that aired on the Science Channel titled "Humanzee". It is about a chimp named Oliver who had some decidedly human traits. I mean more than just mimicing human behavior, but physical traits that led scientists to believe that he was the result of a human / chimp mating.

In a segment of the program that explained some things about hybridizing different species they showed how a liger (lion tiger) hybrid is created.

The interesting things, and what led to the title of this thread, were two aspects of the liger they used for the example; one a precursor to the other.

First of all they used a male lion and a female tiger. The growth inhibiting gene section is located in the male in tigers and the female in lions. This means that a pairing of a male lion and a female tiger produces an offspring without the growth inhibiting gene. The result of this was that a liger bred from a male lion and female tiger is HUGE. It is much bigger when full grown than either of it's parents.

This made me think. Side note - my wife says it scares her when I start to think too much - LOL. What it made me think of was the Genesis passage....

....and the possibility that the same thing as the liger size phenomenon could be at work there. What if the growth inhibiting gene was somehow missing or suppressed in the offspring of the sons of God and the daughters of men.

That could neatly tie the two aspects of that passage together; the mating of two different but similar species and the giants it produced.

Mind now that this is just speculation, but interesting speculation none the less.

I think I saw that program you are referring to. It made me sad. I hate it when scientists go medlin' in nature. None of those creatures came to be because of natural mating. They were all concocted using invitro fertilization or some other such nonsense.I firmly believe that we will see some truly freakish things in the future. Now we've added cloning to the mix. They are even trying to "humanize" computers. All that stuff (the mechanics of it) is too deep for me to grasp, I just know this stuff is going to get wierder and wierder as we go. Be ready. (i before e except after c.) But he word wierd looks wierd to me!

Thanks. I remember the Genesis parts, but the rest I forgot. Yeah, the Bible doesn't say if those demons may try it again and create more Nephilim to crush humans again and try and distort anything they can. I just hope if they do I'll be in Heaven, not on Earth!

What about in revelation when it talks of the 200 million army and the way this army looks????

I have read some of the arguments in this thread..how can anyone deny the fact that the sons of God mentioned in Genesis 6 are angels not men?..can men mating w/women create giants?..the men of old that we hear about?..yes giants have been born to this day..but that's because they have the giant gene..now it is called a disorder of some kind..but where did it come from to begin with?..giants are not the norm today..but in the day of Noah..it was..why?..why was it so violent in those days?..because the giants hated mankind..just as the demens do..the angels that left thier place were not the same angels that followed saten in the beginning of his rebellion..they were part of the watchers God set up to watch the progress of mankind..they saw that the daughters of man were beautiful..and mated w/them..they did not have to appear to mankind as anything but what they were..angels..the new Testament tells us exactly where the angels that left thier place are..they are in chains awaiting the judgement..those of you that refuse to believe this do not have an argument with those of us that do..your argument is with God himself..he's the one who chose to give us this little bit of history..no one made it up..it's there for anyone to see..it's also in other writings..Babalonian, Joseaphous, Persian writings, it seems that people of the 20th and 21 centuries are the only ones who cannot accept the truth when they see it..even when they see it in the Bible..

This theory that cains children and seths children sinned by mating w/each other and this is why God was angry is stating something that is just not in the bible..so cains sons thought seths daughters were beautiful?..come on..does this even make since..the text says the daughters of man..man in hebrew is translated Adam..not seth..

to me this means all the daughters of Adam were considered beautiful..and what about the daughters of the rest of Adams sons..he did have many you know..cain, abel and seth were just the ones who's names we know..then of course we must remember Adam had daughters of his own..not just granddaughters..great granddaughters, great great granddaughters..etc etc etc..

Here is the craziest one of them all. This is a discussion (http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message118311/pg466)going on for 2-3 years. The thread started as a joke in the OP saying he was an Alien. 4 pages into it a "real" one shows up by the "handle ST in BG"

This guy is extremely intelligent and dedicated to an ongoing joke, or he is the real thing and demonic. Given what I have read (about 20% in the begining and the end) I am more likely to agree with the later. I must warn, there is truth mixed with lies in this thread, and an obvious agenda by the demon to discredit Christianity. I basically view this as the launcing pad for the great delusion. Some interesting things to note is that every conspirecy in the world is covered in here. Hear the warnings from "the operator" user ID 1523 in pages 41-48 and more. This is a real spirtual battle if you are interested. It is becoming more transparent. ST in BJ states there may be a huge event prior to us receiving our tax refunds, possibly related to the Large Hadron Collider experiment that is pending. Who knows, I am more likely to believe that this is not all a joke and something very serious in nature, you will have to read 20-30 pages to start to understand. Be very careful on the board and I would only recommend it if you are strong in Christ. I now understand what will make mens hearts fail from fear.
