It's not a sin but a waste of time. Let the Lord Jesus handle what will become of him and his minions. Satan has already been defeated. We are to look unto Jesus. Heb. 12:2

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Rev 20:10

You're kidding right? Jesus, said, get thee behind me, Satan.
he's to be put underneath our feet. The answer would be no.
He is evil, pure evil and wants to destroy the child of God.
Calling him what he is and rebuking him and fleeing him is surely no sin!
I agree with the previous poster, don't give him any TIME at all.
Concentrate on Jesus. Don't talk to him, (the devil) talk about him
or say his name or anything. Ignore him. Concentrate on the Lord,
is what I mean. Hope that helps. God bless.

:thinking Many time when I catch Satan tempting me I laugh at him and tell him he is a old fool for my Lord Jesus is who I answer to. Yes he gets his digs in on me but when the Holy Spirit covers me and I walk though his temptions I often mock Satan, is this wrong?

I agree. Have nothing to do with him or his high ranking ilk unless you were directed to do so. That verse in Jude says it all.

Alex, I know just what you mean, when I know it's him getting after me,
I want to tell him directly to blast off, I love Jesus, and he should leave
me alone, but I dont' have the power to do that, only Jesus does. I want to tell the evil one where he is bound for and rub it in his face, but I have to remember to instead yell for help 'Jesus, he's after me again, please make him go away!" As for the other post about Jesus saying 'get thee behind me', yeah, BUT Jesus can say that, we don't have the power. Spiritual attacks are nasty nasty things, the creep usually comes after me in my sleep, that makes him a coward too. Sometimes I am trying to call Jesus name in this bad dream, and it feels like I can't even move my lips to call out, but I keep struggling to do so and finally it comes out. Anybody else have this happen?

we will do that to a extent if this is any indication in Isiah.i would save it for then really and we will probably be giving him the raspberry.
Isaiah 14
12 “ How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer,[b] son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart:

‘ I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’
15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the lowest depths of the Pit.
16 “ Those who see you will gaze at you,
And consider you, saying:
‘ Is this the man who made the earth tremble,
Who shook kingdoms,
17 Who made the world as a wilderness
And destroyed its cities,
Who did not open the house of his prisoners?’
18 “ All the kings of the nations,
All of them, sleep in glory,
Everyone in his own house; But you are cast out of your grave
Like an abominable branch,
Like the garment of those who are slain,
Thrust through with a sword,
Who go down to the stones of the pit,
Like a corpse trodden underfoot.
20 You will not be joined with them in burial,
Because you have destroyed your land
And slain your people.
The brood of evildoers shall never be named.
21 Prepare slaughter for his children
Because of the iniquity of their fathers,
Lest they rise up and possess the land,
And fill the face of the world with cities.”

No. Elijah was filled with the Holy Ghost when he mocked Baal. Was that sin...

When you put on the Armour of God or ask for a hedge of protection and confess with your own mouth that Jesus is LORD, aren't we calling upon the LORD? Who is all powerful, all knowing and ever present. I too like 'IamHis', have had many attacks by satan, I call apon the LORD and ask the LORD to rebuke him, as I place all my trust in HIM and tell satan he has no power over me, for I place myself in the Mighty Hands of God and then continue to praise and honor God for all HIS GREATNESS and TRUTH and LOVE and so forth. No I would not mock nor give anything to satan, for we can not battle him ourselves, we must call upon the LORD, who is our Sword & Shield, putting all faith in HIM who loves us.

No. Elijah was filled with the Holy Ghost when he mocked Baal. Was that sin...Baal doesnt exist, a point which Elijah goes on to demonstrate quite effectively.

Not sure if this has already been said or not, but...I wouldn't mock Satan. He's no match for Jesus our King, but he can sure mess around with us. Think of this-whenever Stan sees us getting closer to the Lord, he hits us where it hurts the most.
I don't need anymore challenges than I already have!

I don't know if it's a sin or not, but it's certainly not wise. I, too, have had nasty attacks in (reoccuring) dreams before becoming saved, but haven't had them since, thankfully.
