The last time I had the stomach flu with this norovirus symptoms, was about 15 years ago. I was six months pregnant with my son. I still remember it like it was yesterday. My husband, and at the time, 6 year old daughter and I all had it. I pray we'll never have it again. It is horrible. I wonder if this years flu shot works against this particular strain of the flu ??
God Bless ! And be sure to wash your hands A LOT ! :)

I don't believe the flu shot protects against this nasty virus. ( just adeno viruses I think)
I can NOT handle a norovirus. I think at this point, I would just die. :ohno
Wash hands, Lysol spray!

We got this nasty nasty virus (I'm assuming it was norovirus) 2 years in a row in our household!! It spread so fast and hit everyone so hard that my poor little girls were 'letting things out from both ends' AT THE SAME TIME! It was so bad!! It was one of the worst weeks ever! I pray to God it doesn't come here again. My 9 year old now has a REAL phobia of vomiting....like she has a therapist for it and everything! She's so afraid of throwing up that she had refused to go places, do certain things... Ugh......... Thank God for therapy!

My middle daughter started throwing up last night around 2:30 (she's 5). She's been dry-heaving for the last two hours or so, but I don't know if it's Noro or not (no diarrhea yet). Just praying that the Lord heals her quickly and protects the rest of us, although I am feeling very light-headed. It's just me and the girls here today.
My 9 year old is the same way -- horribly terrified of vomiting, either her or someone else.

:pray He one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psa 91:2 I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Psa 91:3 He Himself will deliver you from the hunter's net, from the destructive plague.
Psa 91:4 He will cover you with His feathers; you will take refuge under His wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield.
Psa 91:5 You will not fear the terror of the night, the arrow that flies by day,
Psa 91:6 the plague that stalks in darkness, or the pestilence that ravages at noon.
Psa 91:7 Though a thousand fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, the pestilence will not reach you.
Psa 91:8 You will only see it with your eyes and witness the punishment of the wicked.
Psa 91:9 Because you have made the LORD--my refuge, the Most High--your dwelling place,
Psa 91:10 no harm will come to you; no plague will come near your tent.
Psa 91:11 For He will give His angels orders concerning you, to protect you in all your ways.
Psa 91:12 They will support you with their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
Psa 91:13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the young lion and the serpent.
Psa 91:14 Because he is lovingly devoted to Me, I will deliver him; I will exalt him because he knows My name.
Psa 91:15 When he calls out to Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and give him honor.
Psa 91:16 I will satisfy him with a long life and show him My salvation.....:thumb
Thank you for your protection LORD! :hug

My son had diarrhea and stomach pain all weekend. It was awful seeing him so uncomfortable he is only 5 years old. We have had the dreaded rota virus and noro confirmed by the ER stool tests. My 11 year old dd is phobic of vomiting to the point that she is obsessive worrying about it if she knows someone is sick.
Praying for all of you that are sick.

I am a phobic as well, only I am also a mom and an adult - so I get made fun of. I have no problem being around someone who has strep throat, but if thier stomach hurts then I flee the room. It has been sweeping through this area so bad that the hospital emergency room had to be put on drive-by status. I had it about 2 weeks ago and then it has just run (no pun intended) through our family... not so fun Holiday...
