So then drug addicted mothers and their children can starve and be homeless too. What a christian idea.

Makes too much sense to be law. Like means testing entitlements, it will never work because it applies common sense. It can also be demonized by the "compassion" police.

upnortderhey are you implying that we shouldn't drug test people that receive welfare? It's not the church giving these people the money, it's the gov't. Should the gov't give money to people addicted to drugs so that money can be spent to feed their habit instead of their children?

I know personally of many drug addicted mothers who get apartments in the projects. They sell their food stamp cards for money and then use the cash to buy drugs. I know personally of drug addicts who go to "doctors" and get pain pills. If they are not "snorting" the oxycontin themselves, they're selling it to people who do. Then they use the proceeds to buy crack for themselves. Is that what society should be financing? I know of many addicted mothers who are so stoned all the time they don't even know they have children. Don't you truly think there is a better life for these innocent victims (the children) apart from the moms who obviously have chosen to abandon them in their own way. One woman I know of tried to sell her infant. She was desperate for a fix. I think this law would be a good idea. It would encourage people to stay clean or lose everything.

If their drug addicted parents won't kick the habit, the kids should be taken from them. What could be worse than living with a homeless drug addict for a parent :idunno

What is this world coming to when Christians won't approve of drug use!!! :rant Next thing you know, they will be condemning child abuse by drug addicted parents! Crazy Christians!
