Advantages to homeschooling or Homeschool moments

I just thought this could be a general thread to post on when you have a special homeschool moment.

today our advantage we saw to homeschooling was -

Having the Sledding Hill all to ourselves!!! :) and mom got some exercise too!:hat:yeah

taking odd time vacations when everyone else is in school :yay

yeah, first week in September at the beach is awesome!! Weather is hot but not too hot, water is warm and no crowds!!

I love not having to wake the kids up at the crack of dawn, and still finish school by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. :thumb That leaves more time for other stuff.

seeing the 7 yr old child you taught to read, bring a book to lunch w/ him to read because he wants too. :)

That one gets me every time :pound

On Sunday afternoons their grandparents on my X's side (who are college profs) are giving them computer classes. They enjoy working in a class outside of the house, and having homework that is not turned in to me :hehee

spending more than 3 hours a day with my kids.

I also like not having to wake my kids up for school.
