Hurricanes, Earthquakes, and other Signs of the Last Days
Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven
Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring
Many people are beginning to ask questions about bible prophecy in these last days. We are seeing catastrophic events take place on a regular basis. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who are affected by these natural disasters-it is truly heartbreaking. But on that same note, I also think it would be heartbreaking not to realize the prophetic (biblical) significance of these events. The focus of this article is not to pass judgment on those who have been affected or to try and compare the sinfulness of some areas as compared to others-truly gross darkness is beginning to cover the whole earth-not just areas affected by storms and earthquakes. But these events do tell us something of where we are on the prophetic calendar (without being dogmatic about dates, charts, and timelines of course). With that said, let's look at this a little deeper: Click the Link and read on!:thumbup

Agreed !! That is why I do not believe that man is causing it. I believe that if IT IS happening, it is by God's hands, and is one more sign for Christians to realize is prophecy.

You are right! God does not make mistakes! He gave us fossil fuels to burn and consume He new through our technology we would learn to use them more and more efficiently as time went on. God created a planet that can recover from the effects of volcanoes, forest firers, earthquakes and all other natural disasters. I truly believe that "global warming" religion was created to explain away the Biblical scriptures that for warn of pending natural disasters.:nod

I have long believed that the changes we are seeing in temperatures, hurricanes, earthquakes, ecology, etc., are directly related to end times, and not what humans have done to the earth. I believe all of these are signs from God, that He is preparing the earth for those things to happen that John fortold in the Revelation.
Unbeliving politicians and scientists are, in my opinion, spreading a deception among the people. If they blame it on man, then they don't have to acknowledge God. They are now saying we have five years to save the earth. Excuse me, but no one can save the earth. God has already ordained what is to happen and we are seeing the beginning of it.
When will mankind EVER admit that we are not in control of these things? God has control...........only God.

I feel it must be the "birth pangs" we are going through. God is indeed in control. Counting on "saved from the wrath" - referring to the Rapture.

You do realize that the earth increased in temperature about 1,000 years ago when Leif Erikson et al were exploring Greenland and other parts of North America. What's interesting is that the warming termpertures led to prosperity, increased harvests, less disease, and longer lifespans.
Perhaps the global warming we're seeing today has less to do with birth pains and more to do with blessings.

Tsunami’s, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, …… I’ve always thought God controlled the weather, but wasn’t concretely positive. A while ago I came across the following in the book of Job. Considering the Bible to be the infallible Word of God, don’t you think this pretty well solidifies the point the God controls the weather? (Job 37:1-13)
"At this my heart pounds
and leaps from its place.
Listen! Listen to the roar of His voice,
to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.
He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven
and sends it to the ends of the earth.
After that comes the sound of His roar;
He thunders with his majestic voice.
When His voice resounds,
He holds nothing back.
God's voice thunders in marvelous ways;
He does great things beyond our understanding.
He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,'
and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.'
So that all men he has made may know his work,
He stops every man from his labor. [a]
The animals take cover;
they remain in their dens.
The tempest comes out from its chamber,
the cold from the driving winds.
The breath of God produces ice,
and the broad waters become frozen.
He loads the clouds with moisture;
He scatters his lightning through them.
At His direction they swirl around
over the face of the whole earth
to do whatever He commands them.
He brings the clouds to punish men,
or to water his earth and show His love.

When you include what is taking place in the world today with the Apostasies of the church, declining morality, the troubles in the middle east it looks more like the climate change is part of the birth pains in my opinion.:)

When temperatures have increased, humanity has benefitted. It's just a fact.

Have had people ask me if I thought all the weather and climate changes had something to do with global warming or more with endtimes.
I thought had more to do with endtimes considering everything else that is going on in the news these days.
