I'm alone in my house this morning. Kids are at school, hubby is at work. I only have a few things left to do around the house before leaving for work myself. I grab the tv remote and just start flipping around channels. First stop is Montel Williams. Sylvia Browne is on telling people thier future and talking about the "Christ conciousness". Next stop is Maury Povich. Husbands that beat up their wives. Third stop is Jerry Springer. Picture shows some people without teeth and bad clothes, physically fighting each other and the audience cheering them on. Fourth and final stop (before realizing how much time I've wasted flipping around the channels) is The View. Elisabeth is getting ganged up on by Rosie and Joy as they argue about Pres Bush, the troops, 911, Iraq, and terrorism. As far as I know, Elisabeth is the only Christian on the show.

How much more worse does TV have to get? (Oh and I mine as well add to the top statements that the other day...again I was flipping the channels around and the next thing I know the soap opera "Passions" was on and there were two men with their shirts off having a "I hate you, but I love you and want to have sex with you" physical altercation.)

I REALLY WANT TO KNOW.....how much worse can it get?????? We have become oblivious to the horrors of this world! It's "normal" to have another story of a school shooting, or another baby being left in a dumpster. I am telling you, I want to run away. Thing is, there's nowhere to run because it's everywhere. Jesus must be full of such sadness. :ohno

Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. If this scripture could be passed out and believed by those living in sin what a beautiful world it would be.

I think I understand how you feel, Bergie. :hug Lately my heart has just been aching. I so long for Jesus to come back and take us away. And what a glorious thing it will be to see His kingdom come on earth and the peace that will reign in that time. What a contrast to now. I often wonder how much worse it could possibly get before the curtain comes up and the "finale" begins. Earnestly :praying for His will to be done in this wretched world.

Yep. Some days it's just too much. And more importantly, as stated before, how numb we have all become. I don't mean that in a bad way either. Just means that it's become "normal" for evil to become so rampant. So either I am sounding depressed or I am noticing things more. :idunno

Had you flipped the remote control to FoxNews, you would hear about that darling beautiful angelic-looking little girl that is still missing. Today, they're looking for her in Morrocco. Hope 'n' pray they find her soon.:pray

TV is getting worse and worse, I watch it less and less. I read more, get outside and enjoy nature, do little craft projects around the house, etc. etc. I used to love t.v. Now I get disgusted with it more and more. Thankfully I get all them makeover shows!
The world seems to be getting worse and worse, so many sad stories all around, but I have been feeling upbeat. I have been trying to find the good in anything I can, and its actually been working. I have been surrounding myself with happy people (of course they have their bad days and sad stories too) but I just can't handle all the negativity anymore, so I've been actively seeking out happy people, fun activities, playing with my kids, enjoying chruch acitivities and I just got a job at one of the more happiest places around. I thank God for being able to see my blessings.

Yeah, the only TV that is any good to watch is Discovery, Foxnews, History Channel, Animal Planet. And even these channels have junk about how the world is 120 million years old.

I have seen satan hard at work this week. My heart is so broken. My 21 year old brother is getting married. I just found out the girl he is marrying is pregnant. When my parents asked how does he plan on taking care of the baby, he said medicare and the wick program. It breaks my heart to see young people ready to rely on the government. My brother is a college graduate, brought up in a Christian family. My family is in disbelief.

Another situation is my best friend's husband just up and told her last week that he doesn't love her any more after 20 years of marriage. That was the most Christian couple I have ever known. They did family devotion, the husband went to mens prayer meetings every week. Out of the blue, he tells my friend he's never been happy the entire time he has been married.

Satan is tearing that little family apart.

We had this discussion in our Sunday School class this past Sunday. I just could not believe how many similar stories I heard. Satan is working hard 'cause he knows his time is about up.

When these things get me down, I look up and am thankful for "the blessed hope" because that is the only hope we have.

Pray for my friend Andrea as she begins to deal with the possibilities of divorce and trying to take care of her 2 boys.
