RR is running sooooo slow?

Hey folks,

RR is running soooo slow for me today. It took about 5 minutes from login to be able to post in this thread. Anyone else having this problem today? Earlier this morning it ran fine, but this afternoon is the pitts. Every other site I visit is running normally. :candle

:scratch I haven't had a problem today, have you tried deleting your temp files and cookies? I had a problem a couple days ago but it's resolved itself. Maybe spyware-try running a scan.

I have been having the same problem for the last several days. I tried deleting temp files and cookies, restarting my modem, scanning for spyware, etc. Each page on RR still takes around 1 minute to load and I frequently get a page "The server is busy. Please try again later." The funny thing is that not only is RR the only site that is slow for me, but when I go here from another computer things work fine. :scratch

fortunately I haven't had any problems. My DSL causes me issues every once in a while but no problems like you're having. Maybe its just the bad devil trying to keep you away! :heh

Not sure who your IP is or if you are on dial up, but I was having non-stop problems myself until I switched to cable service from dial up AOL and it doesn't hang up on me anymore.

My stupid wireless DSL drops me at least once a day......stupid AT&T! :aha

I don't know what the problem was yesterday, but it's running fine today. Thanks for the suggestions though. :hug I thought the problem kind of looked like it might be too many folks on the RR server? I remember this was happening just before we changed to the new server.

I have Hughes Net satellite as my IP. While it does act wonky from time to time, yesterday every other site was running great, only RR was having the problem. :idunno

But anyway, what ever the problem was it seems to have resolved itself, and I'm now able to lurk and post with speed. :yeah

I'm still back in the land of dial-up. My puter runs (or shall we say "crawls") like that all the time. If it got any slower it would crash. :doh
