My 5-year old got sick last Sunday night :puke (Norovirus or similar), was sick for 4 days. I got it Thursday and was DOWN for that day (sorry, I broke the "Moms must never get sick" law) but have been taking care of everyone else the last three days, moving very slowly. My 9-year old got it Friday and 3-year old Saturday and hubby today. Thankfully, there's only five of us! We've never had an illness go all the way through each family member before, but this one was BAD.

So, I'm just having a hard time gearing up for school tomorrow after having missed an entire week. Not sure if I should try making up the lost time or just not worry about it (this is why we do a little school through summer).

No question . . . just lamenting, I guess! I'm thankful we're all on the mend and the Lord healed us. It was certainly a time for bonding!

Hope you all have a good week and stay healthy!

I know what you mean, wondering about making up lost time. We will carry over into the summer probably, and sometimes ds does extra lessons when he finishes early, so it'll get done in the end one way or another.

Dh and DS went on a week long duck hunting trip last week, and I had a nice break myself :). I am thinking that his trip should at least count for PE, Science (duck dissection counts doesn't it? :lol2) , Gun Safety, Nature Study.....SOMETHING!
:):thinking

Well, tomorrow we get started again, too. Hope it goes well for both our families!

Glad you all are feeling better. You must be exhausted from being sick and taking care of everyone else, too. Hope you get some good rest.
