Video Problem

I cannot view videos from any website from start to finish without numerous pauses. Basically, the video will play for 3 or 4 seconds, pause for 3 or 4 seconds, then play and pause, etc. I have XP on one computer & vista on my laptop and both computers have this problem.

I suspect that there is something that I need to download, but I don't know what that could be. I know very little about computers & would appreciate any suggestions that could possibly resolve this problem!

It could just be they have to load. Next time you go to watch a vid. Pause it manually, wait for like 5 or so minutes depending on how long the vid is then hit play.

One computer has a cable connection & the other connects to the net via a Cingular air card.

Let me ask another way... What type of internet service are you purchasing from your internet provider?

I really don't know! It is like electricity........I don't understand how it works, but I know when I flip on a switch, the lights come on. When I hit connect...... the internet pops up! So, how would I find out what kind of service I am purchasing?

My bill lists the account number, address of service, billing period, various phone numbers, and balance owed for internet only service and payment date, and service dates. That is ALL it says...............what should I be looking for???

Are the 'various phone numbers' ones your computer had to call to connect to the internet?
