January is a pretty slow month for many businesses. My Husband is self employed in a business that can best be described as 'feast or famine'. We have only been at it for 5 months. At best, we were still at the beck and call of his former employer, only as a contractor now.
We were sure he would be back out doing what he does so well right after the new year.....and have been ticking off the days wondering when that call was going to come. Daily he was calling, knowing there were several projects going on, knowing that he should have been going already. Former employer leaves much to be desired, honestly I have been amazed for years that they even remain in business with the care they give their customers, much less their own employees.
I've been stressed and worried and praying so much. It's that thing where you feel guilty praying for your own finances/employment when you know you are way better off than the rest of the world (war, famine, riots, terrorist bombs, the endless list of those in greater need than yourself) and shouldn't complain. I've been asking for a sign that this is what He wants us to do, and I asked for work to be sent my husbands way.
Well the Lord answered my prayers, and y'all, He answered them with a LOUD yes. We just recieved a contract from a corporation that has absolutely nothing to do with the former employer. I'm so greatful to the Creator, Abba, my Father. I'm so excited and I just wanted to share this with you all.
Sometimes He does say yes, and sometimes, He even puts sugar and whipped cream on top!
Maranatha!
