Dr. Appt. Tomorrow -Scared

I have been having some stomach problems for a few months. I've been seeing a doctor who had me on meds which helped, but didn't get rid of, the problem. Now I have to go get an upper endoscopy tomorrow. I am so scared... It might be gallbladder but I am terrified its something horrible. Can you guys keep me in your prayers? I am such a chicken about doctors. My BP goes sky high every time I see one.

Try not and worry to much. I know it's hard not to, but I want to let you know that I had both a endoscopy and a colonoscopy at the same time. Yep. a camera from both ends. Yikes! LOL! It went really well. :nod The worst part of the whole process for me was the 'bowel prep' that I had to take the day before. You probably won't have to do that icky part since you're just having the endoscopy. Most likely your doctor will give you a sedative just before he starts the procedure. I know mine did. It works quickly and I didn't remember a thing afterwards. I remember them putting in the IV and that's all I knew until I woke up after it was all done. No pain or anything afterwards. Hope that helps to calm your fears a little.

I'll be praying, Donna. I know exactly how you feel. my blood pressure goes up whenever I have to go to a doctor--I think they call that white-coat hypertension. Since it has a name, you and I must not be the only ones who react that way.:hug:hug:pray:pray
