Another man made "METHODOLOGY"!!! grrrrrrr!!!:bash
Look at this:
The prayer practice Praying in Color was born when her need to invite her body into intercessory prayer intersected with her love of color and doodling.
Sybil is the mother of two adult sons. She lives in Memphis, Tennessee with her husband who is an Episcopal priest.
:doh:doh:gaah:gaah
Her site is so fully of apostasy it is sickening:

Interfaith, Spirit and Place Festival,
Sybil MacBeth found herself exhausted by the words of her prayers and stymied by a lack of focus. One summer day, she retreated to her back porch for a session of mindless doodling with a basket of her favorite colored markers. She drew a shape, put the name of a friend inside, and added lines and color. She drew another shape with another name and added detail and color. When the page was covered with designs and names, Sybil realized she had prayed. The action of drawing was a wordless offering of friends and family into the care of God. The page of drawings became a visual reminder to pray.
No words are necessary; no artistic skill is necessary-only a desire and a longing for the presence of God.
:frust:frust
RUN.. this stuff is unscriptural and screams Satanic!

more on this site:
"My spiritual director is big into contemplative prayer and wants to spend our time in silence. I tell him I live alone and am in contemplative mode most of the time. He will be pleased that I have a focus that will make sense to him. I have a large newsprint tablet with crayons on my dining room table where a very large prayer is in process. I find myself giving up such inviting times as a nap to go tend it." Betsy W.

Without spending a great deal of time on the site, on the surface, if a person finds a trait like their own art, that helps them focus and pray, then that is a thing given of G-d. Like praying while walking, or while eyes closed in a dim room, or maybe at the beach, or fishing, or some pray in song, singing what is in their heart.
Al of these are only outpouring from within, and given to G-d, Who is the "Multiplier" it is good.
If someone else tries to take that which is not from within, or "natural" so to speak, then it boarders on "working" something up, that is not there.
If it is natural talent that is given of G-d, then go for it.
If you have to buy a book, or have someone "teach" it, then it is like those who Messiah spoke of "Praying to be seen" that will be their reward. (A pretty picture).
When the followers of Messiah asked "Master, show us how to pray." He told them to pray as they have always been taught from their youth, it is the same way we Jewish people pray today. How is it that what he said was different?
It wasn't. And the point was made that it is the "from your heart" and "what is inside your heart" that mattered. It was just how he said it.
Kind of like teaching your children to "be kind to strangers", then your child asks "How do I entertain this new guest?" and the parent responds, "be kind to strangers", the child then goes, Ohhhhh, I get it, realizing they had the answer all along, juts couldn't;t see the forest for the trees.
The followers of Messiah were like that, thinking (as many of us do) "It must be complicated to work effectively..."
Until a 4 year old show up and does it with ease!
But that website and that "method" will become a "new" thing, and that will be sad, for their is no "magic" formula.
Just pray from the heart as G-d leads you.
It will be "prettier" than any picture anyone could ever hope to draw.
